Appreciating family: Marina de Bay

We were extremely tired by the time we reached Marina deBay at the end of our Underground river tour day, but we all agreed it was too early to go to bed. I guess we were energized by the homeyness of the place so that we got ourselves wet in the pool while talking about how tired we were and if we can still pull ourselves together for the Honda Bay tour on the following day before our flight.

All the fun made us forget that the last meal we ate was at Sabang so I ordered a sumptuous dinner for us before dominating the villa-style resort’s “floating stage” with a videoke machine. And that made us decide conclusively we won’t be going to Honda Bay anymore. Suckers for karaoke. When we finally convinced ourselves we should sleep, we agreed we will spend the following morning at the videoke. And so we did. While the boys went fishing. They tried.

I actually got the accommodation deal for Marina De Bay via a group-buying site; it was a 3D/2N package with free breakfasts for two persons. Since we were five in the group and the resort is very far from the city proper, I thought it was more efficient to just get a cheaper but more accessible accommodation on our first day and then compress the Marina De Bay package into a one-night stay with free breakfast for four persons and just pay extra for the fifth one. Luckily, the resort staff agreed.

For questions about the tour, just leave a comment below. I’d also be happy to share the detailed itinerary and cost matrix via email.
